How Pricing Works

1

Set Your Base Price

Choose your price in dollars (e.g., $29.99) before platform fees.

2

Platform Fee Applied

Review My Hinge applies a 20% platform service fee to your base price.

3

Your Earnings

You receive 80% of your set base price for each completed review.

4

User Sees Final Price

Users see the total price including platform fees and any app store commissions.

Pricing Example

If you set a base price of $20.00, your earning per review is $16.00 (80% of base price). The user sees a price that includes our 20% platform fee, and on mobile apps, additional app store fees may apply.

Platform Fees & User Pricing

Review My Hinge Platform Fee

Review My Hinge applies a 20% platform service fee to your base price. This covers platform maintenance, payment processing, customer support, and other operational costs.

In-App Purchases (iOS/Android)

For In-App Purchases on iOS and Android, Apple and Google also take their own commission (typically 30% of the price after our platform fee).

The final price users see in app stores is adjusted to account for these IAP fees and is mapped to predefined App Store/Play Store pricing tiers. Your 80% earning is always calculated from your set base price.

Managing Your Packages

Adding a New Package

Select 'Add New Package', choose a type, set your base price, and activate it.

Editing an Existing Package

You can adjust the base price and active status of existing packages.

Deleting a Package

You can remove packages you no longer wish to offer.

Active Status Toggle

Toggle a package 'inactive' to temporarily stop offering it without deleting.

Offering a Sharing Discount (Optional)

Incentivize Sharing for Repeat Business

You can choose to offer a discount (e.g., $5.00) to users on their next review purchase with you if they allow their current review to be shared anonymously by Review My Hinge for marketing or example purposes.

This is a way to incentivize sharing and potentially attract repeat customers.

Note: The discount is applied to your base price for that subsequent review, meaning your earning for that discounted review will be 80% of (base price - discount).

Pricing Best Practices

Research Competition: Look at similar reviewers' pricing to stay competitive while valuing your expertise appropriately.

Start Competitive: Consider starting with competitive pricing to build reviews and reputation, then gradually increase as you gain experience.

Offer Variety: Consider offering multiple package types at different price points to appeal to various user budgets.

Value Your Time: Price your services to reflect the time and expertise you provide. Quality reviews take effort and should be compensated fairly.
