Child Safety Standards (CSAE)

Review My Hinge • Community & Safety

Overview

We take child safety seriously and maintain published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These standards explain our zero‑tolerance policy, in‑app feedback mechanisms, how we address CSAM, our commitment to child safety laws, and our child safety point of contact. This page is globally accessible and references our app name, Review My Hinge.

Our Standards Against CSAE

Zero‑tolerance for CSAE

  • We prohibit any content, conduct, or facilitation of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
  • Accounts engaging in CSAE are subject to immediate removal and reporting to relevant authorities.

Prohibited content and behavior

  • Any child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including images, video, CG imagery, or links to such content.
  • Grooming, sextortion, trafficking, solicitation, sexualization of minors, or attempts to contact minors.
  • Instructions to produce, obtain, or distribute CSAM; evading or testing our safety controls.

Detection, review, and enforcement

  • We investigate reports and indicators of CSAE and remove violating content where we have actual knowledge.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts, restrict features, and preserve evidence as required by law.

Reporting to authorities

  • We comply with child safety laws and report CSAM to appropriate national or regional authorities, as required.
  • We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement and child protection agencies.

  • In‑app reporting and a support channel are available for users to report concerns without leaving the app.
  • Reports are triaged with priority given to child safety matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

What apps are in scope?

Apps in the Social and Dating categories must comply with the Child Safety Standards policy. Review My Hinge is in scope and complies.

What if my app is just for adults or age‑gated?

Child safety standards still apply. Age‑gating does not remove obligations to prevent, detect, and act on CSAE and CSAM.

How do you define CSAE?

CSAE means conduct or content that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children (e.g., grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or sexual exploitation).

How do you define CSAM?

CSAM is illegal content that visually depicts a minor in sexually explicit conduct, including images, videos, or CG imagery.

What are the requirements for published standards?

This page serves as our globally accessible standards on CSAE, references our app name, and outlines our policies, reporting methods, and enforcement.

What are acceptable in‑app mechanisms?

We provide in‑app reporting and a support channel so users can report concerns without leaving the app. See the Reporting and Support section.

What does ‘appropriate action’ mean?

We act in line with these standards and applicable laws: we remove CSAM when we obtain actual knowledge and report it to the appropriate authorities.

Do your standards align with global norms?

Yes. Our approach is informed by Tech Coalition Child Safety Standards. We continuously review industry best practices.

Who is your child safety point of contact?

Our designated contact for CSAM/CSAE matters is safety@reviewmyhinge.com.
