General Refund Policy

All purchases for review packages are generally non-refundable once a reviewer has been assigned to your request or has begun working on your review.

This is because our reviewers invest their time and expertise into each review they undertake.

When Refunds May Be Considered (Exceptions)

We understand that exceptional circumstances can occur. Refunds, partial refunds, or credits for future services may be considered on a case-by-case basis under the following conditions:

Non-Delivery of Review

If your assigned reviewer fails to deliver your review within a significantly extended period beyond their stated response time (e.g., more than 7 days overdue without communication or reasonable cause) and an alternative resolution (like reassignment to another reviewer, if feasible) is not suitable.

Material Deviation from Package Description

If the review you receive is substantially different from what was promised in the purchased package description (e.g., you paid for a comprehensive video review but received only a very brief text summary with no video).

Platform Technical Errors

In rare cases of verified technical errors on the Review My Hinge platform that prevented you from receiving or accessing your purchased service, and the issue cannot be resolved.

Clear Violation of Terms by Reviewer

If a reviewer demonstrably violates our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines in a way that fundamentally undermines the value and integrity of the review provided (e.g., providing abusive or entirely irrelevant content).

What is Typically NOT Eligible for a Refund

Subjective disagreement with the opinions, advice, or critique provided in the review. Feedback is inherently subjective, and reviewers offer their expert perspectives.

Not achieving your desired dating results (e.g., more matches) after implementing the feedback. We provide guidance, not guarantees of specific outcomes.

Changing your mind after a reviewer has already started working on your request or has delivered the review.

Minor delays in review delivery that are still within a reasonable timeframe or for which the reviewer has communicated a valid reason.

Issues with profile materials you submitted (e.g., low-quality screenshots that made review difficult), unless this prevented the reviewer from fulfilling the core package deliverables.

How to Request a Refund Review

Step-by-Step Process

Send an email to [email protected] to initiate a refund request.

Please submit your request within 7 days of receiving your review, or within 7 days of the expected delivery date if the review was not received.

In your email, include:

  • Your Review My Hinge username and email address
  • The Request ID of the review in question (found in your 'Reviews' tab)
  • A clear explanation of why you're requesting a refund
  • Any supporting evidence (screenshots, description of the issue)

Review Process

Our support team will investigate your claim, which may involve communicating with the reviewer. We aim to respond to refund requests within 5-7 business days.

Outcome

We will notify you of our decision. If a refund is approved, it will typically be processed back to your original payment method within 5-10 business days (processing times may vary by bank/payment provider). We may also offer platform credit or reassignment to another reviewer as alternative resolutions.

Disputes with Reviewers

If you have a concern about the quality or content of a review that doesn't necessarily warrant a full refund, we encourage you to first consider the feedback objectively. If you still feel there's a significant issue, please contact support. We can help mediate or provide clarification if needed.

Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider without first contacting us to resolve the issue may result in the suspension or termination of your Review My Hinge account.

Final Decision

Review My Hinge reserves the right to make all final decisions regarding refunds and disputes, in accordance with our Terms of Service and applicable consumer protection laws.
