Purchases for review packages are generally non-refundable once a reviewer has been assigned to your request or has commenced work on your review. This policy is in place because our reviewers dedicate their time and expertise to each unique profile they analyze.

Circumstances Where a Refund or Other Resolution May Be Considered

We understand that exceptional situations can arise. We may consider issuing a full refund, partial refund, platform credit, or reassigning your review to another reviewer, at our sole discretion, under circumstances such as:

Non-Delivery

If your assigned reviewer fails to deliver your review within a significantly extended period beyond their stated response time (e.g., consistently more than 7 days overdue without valid communication or cause).

Material Deviation from Service

If the review you receive is substantially different from what was described in the purchased package (e.g., you paid for an in-depth video review but received only a few sentences of text).

Verified Platform Errors

In rare instances of verifiable technical errors on the Review My Hinge platform that prevented you from receiving or properly accessing your purchased service, and the issue cannot be reasonably resolved by our team.

Significant Reviewer Misconduct

If a reviewer demonstrably violates our core Community Guidelines or Terms of Service in a way that makes the review unusable or offensive (e.g., providing abusive content instead of feedback).

What is Typically NOT Eligible for a Refund

Disagreement with the subjective opinions, advice, or critique style of the reviewer. Feedback is, by nature, subjective, and reviewers offer their individual expert perspectives.

Not achieving your desired dating outcomes (e.g., an increase in matches) after implementing the feedback. Our service provides guidance, not guaranteed results.

Changing your mind about needing a review after a reviewer has started working on your request or has already delivered the review.

Minor delays in review delivery that are still within a reasonable timeframe, or for which the reviewer has communicated a valid reason and an updated timeline.

Issues arising from incomplete or unclear profile materials you submitted, which may limit the depth of the review, unless this prevents the reviewer from fulfilling the fundamental deliverables of the package.

How to Request a Refund Review

Submit your request within 7 days of receiving your review, or within 7 days of the expected delivery date if the review was not received.

In your email, please include:

Your Review My Hinge username and the email address linked to your account

The unique Request ID of the review in question

A clear, detailed explanation of why you are requesting a refund, referencing the specific criteria above

Any supporting evidence (e.g., screenshots, a description of the discrepancy)

Our Review Process

Our support team will investigate your claim. This may involve reviewing the submitted materials, the completed review, and potentially communicating with the reviewer involved.

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 5-7 business days with a decision or a request for more information.

Possible Outcomes

If your request is approved, we may offer a full refund, a partial refund, a credit for a future review on our platform, or the option to have your profile reviewed by a different reviewer (if appropriate and feasible).

Refunds, if issued, will typically be processed back to your original payment method. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to reflect in your account, as processing times can vary by bank and payment provider.

Important Considerations

If a refund is issued to a user for a review, the reviewer will generally not receive the payout for that specific review.
